"Its a rare thing that you come across guides like Steve Hartland. Give him a ‘brief’ of what you want to achieve and he’ll always exceed expectations. I’ve never felt so ‘stretched’ but still so safe as this summer whilst spending a week in the French and Swiss Alps developing my mountaineering skills. Thanks Steve" "It was my first time skiing the Vallee Blanche and I couldn’t have had a better Guide for the day! Steve came highly recommended, and despite my early anxieties he made me feel completely at ease before we left Chamonix. He briefed the group and was clearly in complete control, with a firm air of confidence – just what I needed! I would recommend Steve Hartland to anyone wanting an experienced and friendly guide for an adventure in the mountains around Chamonix."
His love of the mountains has taken him all around the World & the past few years in Chamonix have opened up new opportunities with easy access to Italy and Switzerland. Winter activities include fantastic off-piste skiing, ski-touring & ice-climbing. Summer activities include trekking and climbing & he has now guided all of the 4000m Alpine peaks.
