In 2008 Chris retired from ski racing after achieving strong results. After spending a winter back home in England Chris decided to fulfil a new goal of becoming a ski instructor and coach in Val d'Isere which is where he has been teaching since. Having spent many years training and racing on the competitive circuit, Chris enjoyed exploring the recreational side to skiing and has developed an extensive knowledge of the Espace Killy.
My wife and I would like to formally say thank you to Chris. Laura (our daughter) really enjoyed her ski lessons and especially the whole fun of being out on the slopes/cafes.' - Tom I have just come back from a week skiing with Chris and I'm amazed at how much my skiing has improved!' - Lucy
During the summer months, when Chris is not working or ski race coaching, he can usually be found taking part in one of a number of his sporting passions. From surfing, cycling, rugby, climbing or boxing, he generally has a sport on his mind!
By the time Chris was 13 years old he was selected to race for the British Children's team which gave him a solid grounding in the race world. At 16 he progressed to F.I.S. International racing, representing GB and England. This is when he moved to France to train in Val d'Isere with two British team mates and the Val d'Isere Club de Sport.
