Giulia, an Italian resident in Chamonix, France, was born by the sea in Venice. She grew up in the mountains of Cortina d’Ampezzo (Dolomites). In 2003/04 she first arrived to Verbier, Switzerland where she started ski guiding off piste and riding powder for her own pleasure. Since then she started a professional skiing career in Freeskiing, competing in internationals events and FWT for some years. Soon after she dedicated herself to more technical mountains and travelled all over the world in search of ski-mountaineering objectives. First ski descents and aesthetic steep lines are what is inspiring her the most. The terrain that the Mont Blanc massif has to offer is now her favourite playground. She became Aspirant Mountain Guide in 2016 and she is looking forward to finishing her last exams soon to become a UIAGM mountain guide.
Her love for the mountains and extended skills gave her the opportunity to live her passion for the mountains at every season. Wether wearing climbing shoes, crampons or ski boots, she would like to take you on a full mountain experience. In the warm month u can see her paragliding off some peaks or riding her MTB sown steep single-tracks.
Giulia started racing in all the alpine ski disciplines, in the regional and national circuit F.I.S.I., followed in the next 5 years by the international one, F.I.S. (Federation International Ski). On her twenties she switched to Freeriding and scored some good podiums but her biggest satisfaction came from winning the Verbier Xtreme comp in 2006. Giulia finds it especially rewarding when she achieves and overcomes personal challenges. Becoming a mountain guide was surely one of these challenges. Never tired of learning and improving herself, she has found in sharing her knowledge and passion a good way to give back what she learned and feel rewarded.
